Traditional Hot Fill or Aseptic, Turnkey Plastic Solutions has the expertise and resources to guide you to the most optimized self-manufacturing model.

Aseptic Packaging
  • Aseptic cold fill bottles are manufactured with enhanced contamination prevention features.
  • An aseptic filler is specifically designed for that function and is normally close-coupled to the output of the bottle sterilizing unit.
  • Freshly-blown bottles are sterilized just before filling with pre-sterilized product.  PAA or H2O2 sterilization are typical and widely used
  • Closures are separately sterilized before application; a heat-sealed sterile foil seal may go on before the closure.
  • Preform additives for enhanced package performance can generally be used with aseptic blow-rinse-fill operations.

Heat Set Blow Molding
With consumer shift from many traditional beverages, stimulated by larger brand marketing strategies, there has been a major shift to PET for juice products.

Juice products offer a unique challenge either for Hot Fill (heat set) or Aseptic (cold fill) as dictated by owner strategy and convention.  In either case the engineering team at Turnkey can bring solutions for complete vertical integration.
Blowing process looks the same but it is not the same:
  • More controlled/slower stretching – enhanced “stretch induced crystallization”
  • Bottle is retained against hot mold walls 250 - 305⁰ F (versus ~ 50⁰F chilled water for typical cold set blow molding) – producing “thermally induced  crystallization.”
  • Air Cooling thru the stretch rod with fresh 10-bar air to stabilize shape is required also.
